Salamander Oil - Salamander Oil is a liquid substance that burns as hot as Salamander Fire. It is said to be made from the dust of Salamanders mixed with special natural oils and left to steep in the sun. It is an alchemical product and it is worth 120 P per gallon. Salamander Oil can be from yellowish to red in color or a combination of yellows and reds. It must be kept in a heavy crystal container.

Sapphire Rose - The Sapphire Rose (magical materials Water MR 2) is probably the most sought after Wasteland Rose next to the Silver. It is the most difficult to find. As its name implies, its petals are a very deep blue. There are many legends about the Sapphire Rose of the Wasteland. This highly sought after flower has mystical powers. The two most popular legends of the Sapphire Rose are from different ideology.

The first is from the Holy Church of the One True God. It is said that the Monarch, to honor the mother of the Savior as she watched her son die for all Humanity, took one of her tears. He placed that tear in the Wasteland so the people of the land would have hope.

The other legend is that the great wizard consortium was at war with the Darkness. The consortium realized their greatest weapon was the natural beauty of this world. They used a perfect rose to symbolize the natural beauty. They defeated the Darkness. The Consortium decided to use their magick to give the rose eternal life. As a result, the rose turned the color of sapphires.

In either case, the Sapphire Rose is one of the most beautiful of all flowering plants. The bush blooms all year round. If one is lucky enough to find a Sapphire Rose, it is best to be gentle. The use of steel to cut the flower or stalk will instantly cause the flower to explode with the force of 8+1D10 points of concessive damage, in a 4-foot radius. The addition of a single petal to any healing salve will increase the healing effects by 2 points. The petals can be fashioned into a necklace. The necklace protects the wearer from all natural and magical fire. A necklace requires 15 flowers to make.

An infant Sapphire Rose bush will have 1 D10 blossoms on it. An adult Sapphire Rose bush will have 3 D10 blossoms on it. An ancient Sapphire Rose bush will have 6 D10 blossoms on it. There is a legend that a single Sapphire Rose with stem (that is still living) can with stand and protect the holder from the breath of a Fire Dragon. To the author’s knowledge, this has never been tried. The thorns of the Sapphire Rose are hollow. Once the thorn pierces a creature's skin, venom is released. It is similar to that of a giant web spider. 1 D10 quantities of venom can be collected (milked) from an infant Sapphire Rose bush (0-5 years). 3 D10 quantities of venom can be collected (milked) from an adult Sapphire Rose bush (6-15 years). 6 D10 quantities can be collected from an ancient Sapphire Rose bush (16 years and older). The magical guilds list over 1000 uses for the Sapphire rose.

Saurian Battle Spear - Saurian Battle Spear is a spear measuring 110" in length that can have a variety of point and blade styles on its business end.

Saurian Gal-den - Saurian Gal-den is a Saurian: Dragon Kin Pole Axe with a piercing blade on its end.

Saurian G'Tar - Saurian G'Tar is the weapon a Saurian: Dragon Kin receives when they have reached adulthood and have passed the rite of adulthood.

Saurian Honor Blade - Saurian Honor Blade is the blade carried by members of the personal guard of the Saurian: Dragon Kin King and those that have proven themselves in battle. In TK 1044, the entire Third Scale received Saurian Honor Blades for their actions at Blood Pass. This weapon is a saurian knife that measures 33 inches in length.

Saurian Long Blade - Saurian Long Blade is the Saurian: Dragon Kin version of a long sword measuring at 60".

Saurian Re' Car - Saurian Re' Car is a Saurian: Dragon Kin poleaxe that will have a slicing blade on one end and a piercing blade on the other end.

Scorpion (Military Tactic) - The Scorpion (Military Tactic) was developed by the Horde. It requires the use of two forces to attack a single position. The tactic is normally used on a static target. The first of the two attacking forces attacks the target head on. At the same time, the second attacking force maneuvers behind the target to attack it in the rear.

Scorpion Fish - The Scorpion Fish is a tropical shallow water fish that is normally yellow in color and has stingers like a scorpion. The sting from one of its spine is severely dangerous to all human sized creatures. The poison does an initial 4 points of BP damage and 20 FP damage. It continues to inflict 15 points of FP damage every 10 minutes. This continues for one to two days or until the antidote is administered or the victim expires. Plants native to the environment that the Scorpion Fish lives in create the antidote to its toxin. The poison is valued at 240P per quantity and its antidote is valued at 500P per dose.

Scarlet Spice - Scarlet Spice has been exported from its native Terla to several continents. The only continents it cannot thrive on are that of the Northern Shield and the Southern Shield. In Kenda and Azin, the Scarlet Fox has adapted its coloration to match the Scarlet Spice. The plant berries are sought after for their rich deep flavor, which has many uses in cooking, the healing arts, and magick. The berry of Scarlet Spice is useful in illusionary, fire, and warding magicks. It is magically rated at MR 3; magical elements Earth, Fire, and Air. There is a 90% chance that one can find the Scarlet Spice Berries in a store at a cost of 1 P per pound and there is a 85% chance one can find Scarlet Spice plants in the wild.

Scent of Magic - Scent of Magick is an ability that some members of some of the races of Alquennas to smell when the forces of magick are being worked. Most notable of the races that have this special ability are the Haeflin and the saurian: Dragon Kin. Humans, elves and dwarves have been known to have this ability as well.

The Scroll of Nichijo Seikatsu - The Scroll of Nichijo Seikatsu is a large scroll, about 16 feet in length, which depicts the everyday life in the homeland of New Edo No Gonji Akira, one of the vassals of the Duchess of Kent. He came from the Cross Roads. He has served the Duchess of Kent honorably and loyally since his arrival. The Scroll is exquisitely painted on silk and supported with bamboo rods.

Sea Drake's Chard - Sea Drake's Chard (Magical Element, Water rated MR 2) is another quick growing plant that favors all coastlines of Alquennas. It grows just above the high tide lines. It is known for soaking up many nutrients from the seawater.

Sea Drake's Chard is a thick ribbed stem with dark green leaves similar to other chards. It forms long elongated heads like endive. The stems may range from a bluish color, to purplish to almost a deep burgundy red depending upon the acidity of the surrounding soils and the plants' maturity level. Older growths have been seen reaching heights of up to six feet.

This chard got its name because it was noticed that Sea Drakes would seek it out and chew through entire stands at one sitting, especially their young. It appears to contribute to their health in some fashion as well as providing some component for their venom. Older Sea Drakes will favor the reddish stemmed plants; younger ones favor the bluish ones.

The plant itself is not poisonous. In fact, it is excellent for removing toxins from the body. One quantity will add 3% to the efficacy of cordials used against any toxin. If used specifically against any sea creatures' neurotoxin venom, it will add 10%. If used in a poultice against a case of Sea Drake Venom poisoning, it will stop further damage immediately. If it is taken as part of a cordial, it will halt the damage completely and will repair any internal damage if either the plant or the cordial is ingested for 3 days straight.

The Sea Drake Chard is nutritious at 5 NU per pound. There is a 90% chance to find Sea Drakes' Chard in the markets on any continent for 6 P per pound. This may drop as low as 75% the further one gets from the coastline if one is seeking a specific kind of the Chard.

Sea of Diamonds - Sea of Diamonds is a Horde military formation. The Horde has the ability to travel in several different formations. One of the most popular among the Horde is the sea of diamonds. This is usually performed by several (6 or more) Hands. Each Hand forms in a shape of a diamond with the points of each diamond touching another diamond. With the use of flags for communications, the sea of Diamonds appears to be a single living creature as the formation turns and moves as one.

Sea Rangers - Sea Ranger is a term used and name of an Azin specialized naval force comprised of specially trained Men-At-Arms, sailors, and Azin marines to act as a special land unit deployed by the Azin Navy anywhere on Alquennas. Seasons - Seasons on Alquennas are represented by four female deities - Kisha, Natsu, Malvina, and Nihar. They are the four daughters of the goddess Peggasan and the god Korwend. The symbols of each daughter are, respectively, the snowflake, a flower, a leaf, and the wheel. Kisha represents winter, Natsu spring, Malvina summer and Nihar is the autumn and the turning of the year.

Settlement Sizes - In the Living World of Alquennas, the settlement nomenclature is based off the population size of the settlement. The general rules are:

A Village is a settlement with a population of 1 to 1,000 inhabitants
A Town is a settlement with a population of 1,001 to 10,000 inhabitants
A City is a settlement with a population of 10,001 to 100,000 inhabitants
A Large City is a settlement with a population of 100,001 to 1,000,000 inhabitants
A Grand City is a settlement with a population over 1,000,000 inhabitants

The most notable exception to the above is the settlements in the Northern Shield and Southern Shield. The Ogres call their settlement cities with populations under 10,000 in most cases. However, it is the author's perspective that arguing with Ogres over a small matter like this is unwise and unhealthy.

Shade - The term Shade can mean many things. These include a ghost, specter, phantom, poltergeist, or an astral-projection of a person or creature.

A Shade can also be a memory of an event or person ingrained in one's memory or in an area given power by those that remember or those that have viewed the Shade.

The term Shade is also used to refer to a shadow figure of dark origins or a servant of the dark.

Shadow Elves - Shadow Elves are elves with skin that is gray. The legend states the Lady of Light gifted them the colorization of the Horde continent so they could blend in better to stay alive. They are fierce warriors that will protect their charges and their lands. They are used as an intelligence resource by many nations concerning the Horde.

Shark (Big Eyed Jagged Mouth) - Natives to the deep waters around Hindra, the 8-14 foot Big Eyed Jagged Mouth Shark has one unusual feature. The outer eye of the shark is orange. This predator is home to depths lower than 300 feet; however, it will follow prey and prey signs up to the service. It has been known to attack swimmers and some examples have measured over 17 feet in length.

Shark (Mega-Mouth) - The Mega-Mouth Shark is a deep ocean dweller that range from 15-20 feet length in size with a three-foot mouth. The large mouth is how it got its name. Examples of Mega-Mouth Sharks have been found to be over 25 feet in length. The Mega-Mouth Shark has a unique evolutionary adaptation of a bioluminescence lining in their mouth to attract prey. They range from the waters off Cimmeran to the shores of Cellenda.

Shark (Six Gill) - The Six Gill Shark is a deep-water shark that gets its name for the number of gills it has on each side of its body. The sharks can range from 14 to 18 feet as adults and are quick effective hunters in the sea.

Sharovipteryx - The Sharovipteryx is part of the soaring or gliding reptile family that can be found in hilly and mountainous arid regions of Alquennas. The wings of this creature are part of its back legs that can reach a wingspan of three feet. The front legs are also well-adapted arms to hold and capture prey. The creature weights up to four pounds fully grown.

Shillelagh - A Shillelagh is a wooden club usually comprised from a knotted wood that has a large knob on one end. The overall le4ngth of the Shillelagh is from three to six feet in length. Its origins are from the Emerald Island. Steven of the Emerald Island carries one at all times.

Shimmering Sea - Shimmering Sea, also known as a Milky Sea, is a phenomenon that occurs in deep and shallow seas. What causes it no one knows. What is known is that, after a shimmering sea occurs; numerous schools of fish will travel to the location where the shimmering occurred. Fishermen consider a shimmering sea a good omen for fishing.

The most notable event is the closed course jumping of obstacles. The use of music is used to determine the time of each competitor through the proscribed course.

Shrine City - Shrine City is one of the cities in the county of Galway in the province of Maderia in the country of Azin. The Shrine of Saint Bridgett is located just outside the city in the foothills.

Silk - Silk is a term for a natural protein fiber. The fiber is highly prized. The silk produced from the Mulberry Silkworm can be woven into textiles. Silk can be made into numerous products from clothing to rope. Silk rope has the same strength as traditional hemp rope at ½ the weight and ½ the thickness. The Horde Union first introduced the Mulberry Silkworm and silk before the time of Kingdom. The shadow elves barrowed several mulberry silkworms, mulberry trees and the knowledge of producing silk. The brought the materials and knowledge to the continent of Kenda.

Silver Oak - The Silver Oak is one of the largest Elven Woods in Azin. It lies south of Kallon, west of the Forked Mountains, and borders the Wasteland. It is known as the birthplace of the Duchess of Kent and for being home to some of the significant events that led to the Life Debt owed to House Nari' and the subsequent alliances between the Wood Elves and the Crown of Azin. The Silver Rose - (magical materials all MR 2). The most sought after of the Wasteland roses. The Silver Rose is only known to grow near a Mana pool, lake, or deposit of liquid Mana (There is a 15% chance of an encounter with a Silver Rose near liquid Mana). The Silver Rose can only be harvested by an enchanted silver dagger. If any other item is used to harvest the Silver Rose, it will explode with 6D10 points of damage and with the requirement of a Liquid Mana deposit nearby, there is a significant chance that the Liquid Mana source will explode. The Silver Rose has several magical properties that include ¼ oz of Silver Rose flower petals counts as 4 magical materials in any magical device.

One can make a device of power of Greater circle of protection Vs. Undead, Lycanthropes and Supernatural that will only have a 14% chance of crossing the circle and if the Undead, Lycanthropes and Supernatural all of their actions suffer -40% to their TSC%. One will need to acquire 3 pounds of Silver Rose petals, enchant them to MR 0, and then place them into a glass sphere that has been reduced to MR 0. Add ¼ pint of olive oil that has been enchanted to MR 0. Then seal the glass sphere with a glass plug and bees wax that has been enchanted down to MR 0. Then take a mixture of Garlic (2 Q), Clove (1Q), Silver Dust (1Q) and 1 pint of red wine that has been enchanted down to MR 0. The creator needs to roll his/her TSC% in his/her mode. If the roll is a failure, the entire mixture explodes with 3D10 points of energy damage.

One can use the petals of the Silver Rose plant to surround their home this will provide a -13% to an Undead, Lycanthropes and Supernatural creature's willpower to enter into the house. The rose petals need to be replaced once a year.

One can take 3 petals from a Silver Rose and place it into wine, water or any type of drink. If the drink is poisoned it will turn Green-Black. If the drink is not poisoned it will not turn color.

These are but a few uses for the Silver Rose bush.

Simulacrum - A Simulacrum is a magically created living statues that require a spirit bound into them to be animated.
Simulacrums are also known as Constructs and Golems on the Living World of Alquennas. In the Living World of Alquennas, the following types of Simulacrums have been encountered:

All simulacrums are considered dark magick of necromancy. In the deserts of Terla, there are still Stone Simulacrums waiting to fulfill their commands from the Fourth War with the Horde.

Sinister Nine - Sinister Nine is an organization of international criminals that have caused troubles for both the Alliance of Nations and the Trista Confederation. There is currently no evidence that they have struck members of the Alquennas Trade Association at this time. The Sinister Nine is believed to be lead by or controlled by a former Noble from Kenda a Kaiser Skorzeny. It is currently estimated that since TK 1049 they have stolen or destroyed over ten thousand crowns worth of coin, materials and services.

The Sky Cat Constellation - The Sky Cat Constellation is one of the constellations of the North Polar Region of Alquennas. The Sky Cat Constellation is comprised of 18 stars. It is said that the Monarch created the constellation as a reminder to the Sky Cats that they are loved and cared for.

Slavery - Slavery does exist in the Living World of Alquennas. Most victorious armies take war slaves and the number of slaves to be taken is usually one of the key discussions during the bargaining of the terms of surrender. Treatment of these slaves differs from country to country as well as from owner to owner.

The major exception to the existence of slavery in the Living world of Alquennas is the country of Azin.

Azin specifically outlawed all forms of slavery. This decision was not due to an acknowledgement that slavery in any form is wrong; it was made for purely economic reasons.

In TK 200, the nobles of the country of Azin convinced the crown to reduce taxes on slave owners due to the cost of keeping slaves. The Crown reviewed the arguments and agreed to a plan to reduce the taxes. The Crown ordered that for every certain number of slaves that a noble had their taxes would be reduced. This prorated scale allowed several nobles to reduce their taxes greatly to their overlord and to the Crown of Azin itself.

In TK 205, the Crammer house sent a bill to the Crown of Azin. The bill stated that, since they had a greater number of slaves, the credits they were due would not only completely negate any taxes they owed TO the Crown, but in fact amounted to such a sum that they believed that they were owed money FROM the Crown to help support them due to the additional number of slaves that they owned! The King of Azin was outraged. They were outraged by the bill, by its amount, and finally, by the effrontery of the Crammers in presenting it.

Therefore, on the 120th day of TK 205, the King of Azin outlawed slavery in any form in Azin and all of her settlements and territories. The nobles were not too happy with the King's solution. They now claimed that not only were they not getting the tax exemptions they had been promised but that they now had to incur additional expenses to convert the slaves to serfs.

Therefore, the King also began to phase out the practice of serfdom, thus creating a new class of freeman peasant farmers that would owe taxes to their lord. He did this stating that it would provide the cash strapped nobles of Azin with additional revenue.

Slavery in the Horde - Slavery in the Horde is an essential part of the Horde's economics. Throughout history, the Horde has embraced the use of slaves for forced labor. Slave are also be used as currency in transactions between clans. What one must understand is that a slave has worth in the Horde and Horde culture. If one is an exceptional worker, artisan or possesses special gifts, they might be able to buy or barter their way out of slavery. This is not the case for all slaves. Slaves who are sent to training labor camp that is under the control Horde military (See Training Labor Camps) will not have the ability to trade or buy his/her freedom. There are two types of Slaves in the Horde: slave and head slave. The difference between the two types is that a head slave manages the other slaves on the property. This is an office of respect and power. It should be noted that if any of the other slaves anger their masters, the Head slave would pay for it, usually in blood and pain. Bright Giant Slug of Terla - The Bright Giant Slug of Terla as the name suggests is brightly colored normally pink or blue. Specimens have been found to measure in length up to 4 feet in size. One of the traits that first attracted scholars is that if the giant slug suns itself during the day, it will glow in the dark for several hours. This trait is used in attracting a mate. Their diet consists of plant and insects and, as one scholar found out, they do not have a liking for human flesh.

Snake Melon - Snake Melon is a member of the melon family that tastes like a cucumber. They measure on average 2 inches thick and normally up to 6 feet long and are shaped like a snake moving on the ground. These delicious and nutritious melons are rated 4 NU per pound. For cooking purposes, these melons can be treated like cucumbers. They were first cultivated in Terla. They cost at market 1 P for 4 pounds. These melons also make excellent pickles and are even more flavorful when pickled.

Snowflake Lettuce - Snowflake Lettuce (Magical Element, Water rated MR 2) is a quick maturing plant. A refreshing and cleansing green, it grows natively in the north of Azin, North Kenda, the north of Patronna, and northern Valinnia.

It has dark lacy green leaves that form tight round heads. The outer leaves are speckled with small white specks like a winter snow. As you get to the inner head, the leaves turn a solid deep forest green. The heart of the snowflake lettuce is the most prized for its rich restorative juices and exhilarating taste.

Snowflake Lettuce is especially useful in healing tonics. One quantity will add 3% to the effects of any cordials or balms containing it.

Snowflake lettuce is rated at 3 NU per pound and there is a 60% chance to find Snowflake Lettuce in the markets on any continent for 8 P per pound.

The Spice Nut Tree - The Spice Nut Tree (magical element, Fire rated at MR 4) grows to a height of 10 to 12 feet and its width is 6 to 8 feet with yellow-green leaves. During the beginning of the growing season vines extend out from the leaves and form a husk. The husk protects a hard kernel, when matured this kernel can be harvested. This hard kernel has a unique taste that is a mixture of sweet pepper and Clove. The kernels are ground into a powder and added as spice to meals. Some say the ground kernels of the Spice Nut Tree can be added to a soup to reduce fevers and congestion in the lungs. If the dried Kernels are kept in a cool dry place, they will remain fresh for up to two years. The Kernel of the Spice Nut Tree is rated at 4 NU per pound.

The Spice nut tree can be found on the continents of Kenda, Cellenda, Vitainnia, Mednadda, and Xendarna where there is a 45% chance of finding Spice Nut Trees in the wild and a 90% chance they can be found in a shop.

On the continents of Cellenda and Xendarna, there are entire plantations devoted to growing Spice Nut Trees.

Spider Silk - Spider silk is the natural protein fiber from spiders, usually giant and or huge spiders. There are several cultures on Alquennas that are adept t harvesting spider silk from huge and giant spiders. There is even a claim from the dwarves of Xendana that they have a method to milk giant and huge spiders for their silk. This process has not been documented. The rope made from spider silk is twice as strong as rope made from silk made from the Mulberry Silkworm and is half the weight and half the thickness.

Spidron - A Spidron is a cross between a spider and scorpion. The creature does not have a stinger tail. The stingers are in the two pinchers in front. The silk is created from a gland in the rear of the creature. The average size of a normal Spidron is half to three inches in length. There have been giant and huge Spidrons encountered in Alquennas. They can be found in any temperate climate.

Spook - Spook is a spirit that is attracted to magick most often associated with conjurors, as the spook will inhabit the brew of the conjuror. The Spook can provide insight and training to the conjuror. The argument could be made that the spook could inhabit the cauldron of the witch, however, that is strictly up to the Game Master. In the campaigns that MSD runs, we do not permit this.

Stone Fish - The Stone Fish is a tropical shallow water fish that has been found in harbors. Some of its family have even been discovered living in fresh water rivers. The fish gets its name from its description. It looks like a harmless rock until it attacks. This natural camouflage is ideal for its environment. The trouble area for the Stone Fish is the spines on its dorsal fin. The poison of the Stone Fish is the most dangerous to human sized creatures that is known in the fish family of creatures. The poison does an initial 7 points of BP damage and 25 FP damage. It continues to inflict 15 points of FP damage every 10 minutes. This continues until the antidote is administered or the victim expires. The victim is in great pain while the poison is running its course. The antidote is found in the plant life in the environment that the Stone Fish shares. The poison is valued at 600 P per quantity and its antidote is valued at 1200 P per dose.

Stone Knight - The Stone Knights of Katarina Abby are devoted to the protection of the free (Light) peoples of Alquennas. They have taken the ultimate vow of service. When a Stone Knight is about to die, the amulet they wear around their neck activates a spell that entombs them in stone. The statue that is thus formed is placed as a guardian in a specific area. When the area the statue is guarding is threatened, the Stone Knight's statue animates to protect the area against the Dark Forces. Most of the Stone Knights (91%) are Dwarves.

Storm Flower Plant (Magical Element, All, rated MR 2) - Storm Flowers are a delightful scented and very colorful flower that grows from a three-foot plant. The flowers begin to open on the first day of spring and remain vibrant until the first day of winter. When a storm is approaching and up to as many as 3 days away, the flowers will turn a vibrant burgundy in color. When a storm is a day out, the flower of the Storm Flower plant close up until after the storm is over. The deeper the burgundy color of the petals, the more severe the storm will be. The plants were first discovered south of the city of Lords in the country of Valinnia on the continent of Mednadda.

Storm Guards of Kenda - The Storm Guards of Kenda are soldiers trained in mountainous terrain and for all weather. They excel at fighting and working in snow and mountains. They were created in TK 990 when the Horde began occupying many mountain valleys between human cities and settlements effectively cutting off hundreds of thousands of humans from support, supplies, and communications. The Storm Guards have trained in all manner of transportation from dog sleds, snowshoes, skies, and even iceboats. They were first trained in the shadow of the Mountain Lithuania.

Storm Watch - The Storm Watch is the Northern Guard of Azin that patrols the Tundra Region of the country. They are specially trained to live in the harsh environment of the Tundra. Sometimes, the units will have wolves as companions and will use snow owls as messenger birds.

Sun Dial Plant (Magical Element, Fire and Earth, rated MR 3) - Sun Dial plants were first discovered near the edges of the Ariddia on the continent of Terla. The flowers of the Sun Dial plant follow the sun all day and continue turning throughout the night. The people of Terla have been able to tell the time of day or night with the Sun Dial Plant. Attempts to export the Sun Dial Plant from Terla have failed. There are several who are still trying to export the plant to other continents. The petals are bright yellow and the leaves and stalks are a brilliant green.

Sun Storm - Sun Storm is a weather term used in Terla and other lands where there are desert areas. A Sun Storm condition occurs regularly when dry arid conditions make the sun's damaging effects even more potent. During the mid months of the year, the great ocean of sand known as the Ariddia is said to be under Sun Storm conditions.

Swan Upping - The practice of Swan Upping is an important part of surviving the winter in both the northern and southern hemispheres. The act of Swan Upping is literally the census counting of swans within a specific area, usually around a capital city. Depending upon the type of swan to be counted, the swans may be considered as property of a local Noble, a Monarch, or an officially licensed company. The season is usually started by a formal ceremony conducted by duly selected representatives of the swans' owners. These representatives must report their findings to the owners at the end of the season. Care is taken during the season to check the health of the swans and to determine the general health of the flocks as well. The representatives also check for nest vandalism and bird theft during the year as well.

It is said that the Sword of the Ice Drake was forged in Bridgett's Forge and was imbued with the power of the Ice Drake by the mother of the Drakes.
